I wanted to go somewhere without having to buy an airline ticket but see so many places at the same time during my birthday week last September, which is why we decided to just go on a very random roadtrip. Aaaand that’s how you do it! I hope you found my blog useful and inspiring! If you wanted to know the total distance we had to drive, it was around 800KM, and yes it was a bit tiring, but it definitely was fun! We also spent less than 15,000 pesos for everything including the gas, food, and accommodations so it was really okay.
If I have any advice to leave you when it comes to doing a spontaneous roadtrip– its these:
.)Download waze or google maps, it’s a lifesaver when you are going on a roadtrip!
.)Research in advance– google ” best places to go in siquijor” or “where to eat in dumaguete” for advice from people who have already been there before.
.) Bring mosquito repellent when visiting forest-y areas.
.) Bring as much as you want if you have space in your car– you can bring a sleeping bag if you don’t want to spend on accommodation
.) Have ample rest at night if you will be driving a lot.
.) Don’t eat at the fancy restaurants if you want to save up.
.) Wake up early when going to “Kawasan Falls” or any other touristy destinations to get a good picture and to avoid the crowds.
.) Enjoy and bring a good camera to store the memories!!
.) Leave a comment or share this blog post if you liked this article!! <3
