Hey everyone! Here’s a photo diary of my  trip to Jordan about a month ago consisting of my favorite captures of this beautiful city. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to go on this trip with my loved ones, experiencing a whole new city and most of all getting to know and see the places where Jesus has lived.  I wish I had more time to spend here, definitely coming back if I get another chance, but here’s what we were able to do in three days!!

Arrived at Queen Alia International Airport

(wearing Zara Cashmere sweater and white sneakers/ Giordano pants/ thrifted sunglasses from bali)

St. George Church where they show you the map of Madaba

You will find out about their amazing culture, architecture, tradition and food!IMG_2211

You will love their unique interiors

and will keep coming back for the perfect tea at almost every souvenir shopIMG_2333

and finally… Petra! This place will exceed your expectations.IMG_2351 (1)

at the famous Treasury IMG_2359

While we were here, we rode a camel, and a horse– and I tell you, I screamed as soon as the camels stood up. We had no buckles, just a little wooden thing to hang on to–so when the camel immediately rose, my foot was suddenly higher than everyones head! It was a majestic experience though, to be in the dessert riding a camel; and believe it or not the breeze was cold, so we were not sweating at all.photo_2016-07-17_13-41-36

you also score a duck face selfie with a camel if you are lucky.

You’ll marvel at their natural rock formations.IMG_2387

Just like I did– and everywhere will just be photogenic.IMG_2368

I mean, you don’t get to see fashionable camels just chilling there everyday…IMG_2350photo_2016-07-17_13-41-52

Plus, it feels like being taken back in time when horse carriages were a thing.IMG_2172

colorful souvenir shops here along the streets of Madaba will brighten up your day

Almost every alley is a good instagram spotIMG_2216 IMG_2235

and lastly,Mt. Nebo–  this is the place where Moses died and also where the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendents.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.”

Seeing this place and knowing all of these things happened here– that this was were they really were in the bible was just nothing short of amazing. This was only the beginning of our trip and I was just ready to be blown away day by day.

So, do you need any more reasons to visit jordan? If you do, watch this!
