Welcome to The Alch
The weekend brings with it a new getaway! A newly discovered favorite of mine, I can’t wait to head back. A lot of tourist spots have been opening up in DSB, but there’s something special about The Alch.
The proprietors were very much involved in the design process, wanting guests to feel like each space is a home away from home. Privacy was always paramount to make guests feel safe and be able to truly kick back and relax.
A passion project, the Alch is a relaxing product of a couple who teamed up using both of their backgrounds in architecture and experience in Airbnb hosting and the hotel industry. Created pretty much from scratch, the proprietors carefully took the time to design and haul materials from Bacolod to DSB to set up a welcoming atmosphere. They combined both of their names to make up the finished product, The Alch.
At first, when the pandemic hit, the owners would spend a lot of time in their establishment and slowly opened it up to family and friends. It wasn’t long before others who happened to drive by saw the property and wanted to come in and take a look. By October, they started to accept guests and made sure to follow IATF guidelines.
The main goal of the establishment is to be a place of peace, calm, and meditation. At the same time, a place for fun, family, and friends. The couple considers the Alch a second home and hopes for their guests to feel the same.
Picture this: Clean, mountain air filling your lungs as you take a dip in your PRIVATE DIPPING POOL while 5 of your nearest and dearest chill out and put something on the grill for lunch while you have a great weekend stay. Now, doesn’t that sound perfect?
About The Alch
The establishment currently has two A-framed Loft Houses and currently constructing more to accommodate additional guests. Upon arrival, the proprietor greeted my companion and me with the tastiest snacks.
We got to take in the relaxing decor and comfy daybeds that were in the lofts. An afternoon dip was the best part about this stay. I’d say it’s one of the best places to hang out with friends or loved ones.
